About the Position The Department of Transportation (DOT) Compliance Coordinator serves as a resource to the Kenco Safety, Security, and Risk departments, performing administrative tasks and projects such as maintaining records, data entry and analytics, as well as reporting for vehicles and drivers. This position will interact frequently with Kenco HR, site operational management, safety leaders, driver recruiters and managers.
Functions - Verify qualifications and assist with onboarding of driver candidates to include (but not limited to): background checks, employment verification, Motor Vehicle Records (MVR), pre-employment screening, and physicals.
- Coordinate with HR/Recruiting and site management for successful completion of the driver onboarding process; track efficiency in turnaround time from application to hire while exploring continuous improvement opportunities.
- Maintain and track driver credential documents and records; proactively communicate with drivers and site management the need to update expiring credentials.
- Coordinate with drivers, site management, and network clinics for scheduling and updating driver physicals as well as drug/alcohol testing.
- Assist in pulling driver MVRs and DOT Clearinghouse queries for current drivers.
- Maintain information in Hours of Service (HOS) and Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIR) auditing system; generate compliance reports and analysis for Risk/Safety management and site management.
- Conduct in depth HOS and DVIR compliance audits (either off-site or on-site) and report results to Safety/Risk management as well as site management; provide training to sites/drivers as needed for corrective actions.
- Perform regular maintenance of vehicle and driver data to include training records, MVR monitoring, onboard event recording, and ELD systems. In addition, maintenance of CMV (Commercial Motor Vehicle) and Non-CMV data in internal safety and risk management software.
- Input and index HOS DVIRs, physicals, state inspections, annual MVR reviews, annual Clearinghouse queries and other necessary documents into company imaging system.
- Record and maintain changes to driver information in internal safety and risk management software.
- Produce weekly/monthly reports detailing DOT inspection reports and CSA results, analysis, and trends for Safety / Risk management, site management, and executive management teams.
- Support new site locations with document retention, filing, and paperwork.
- Assist the Driver Qualification & Assessments Manager in conducting internal site Fleet Safety audits (either off-site or on-site), including building any related reports or documents for publishing and tracking results.
- Assist Site Fleet Safety Coordinators and corporate Fleet Safety management in maintaining DOT compliance management.
- Cross train in all aspects of DOT, OSHA, HazMat, and Security compliance as necessary.
- Other applicable duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications •Associates degree in Transportation or related field or equivalent years of experience required.
•2-4 years of experience in transportation safety and DOT compliance required.
•Knowledge of FMCSA regulations required.
•Experience with Tenstreet driver recruiting software preferred.
•Strong PC skills and proficient with all Microsoft Office applications.

Travel Requirements - This position is expected to travel approximately 25% or less.
