Reach Truck/Forklift Operator – Cold Storage Facility

**MUST HAVE AT LEAST 1 YEAR EXPERIENCE IN A COLD STORAGE FACILITY**

Pay $20- $22/HR

THIS IS A 2ND SHIFT POSITION: 4PM-1AM- MONDAY - FRIDAY

Primary Responsibilities:

• Operates forklift in a safe manner to stack and retrieve supplies and materials while maintaining inventory and ensuring production area organization and cleanliness.
• Lift, stack, un-stack and move materials using electric powered trucks equipped with fork attachments.
• Make sure goods are stored in the correct area of a warehouse so they may be located easily.
• Unload trucks and place product in warehouse and, or freezer area for storage.
• Load trucks ensuring loads are evenly and securely placed.
• Completes and submits Equipment Check List Form before utilizing any company equipment.
• Completes and submits written documentation as required.
• Maintain sanitation and housekeeping in work area

• Ability to develop effective relationships, provide leadership, and integrate diverse organizations and individuals toward profitability objectives.
• Can pass written and equipment operation forklift certification test.
• Basic knowledge area’s include: Safety Procedures; Truck Inspections; Storage and Exchange Points; Counterbalance Effect; Stability Triangle; Center of Gravity; Equipment Terminology; Attachments, Load centers; Battery Inspection; and Material handling including loading and de-stacking, unloading and stacking of counterbalance, traveling, Ramps, Trailers and parking.
• Ability to work overtime during the week or on weekends.

• Resourceful, well organized and dependable.

Minimum Physical Requirements :

• While performing the duties of this position, the employee is required to stand; walk; use hands, handle, or feel; squat, bend at the waste and reach with hands and arms.
• Required to lift up to 60 lbs. on an intermittent basis.
• The employee is frequently required to sit with alternate standing.
• While performing the duties of this position, the employee is subject to refrigerated warehouse environment with temperatures ranging from 30 to below zero.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
