Job Description

The Warehouse Operations Manager directs all aspects of customer fulfillment by managing warehouse operations (this includes shipping, packing and receiving), and by developing and administering policies and procedures to ensure the efficient and effective operation of the warehouse and facility. Ensure the timely receipt of products and maximizes order shipments to support desired customer service levels.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute departmental goals aligned with organizational objectives; create and administer relevant policies and procedures.
• Lead and manage daily warehouse operations, building a cohesive and motivated team aligned with company strategy.
• Collaborate with other departments to support cross-functional initiatives and drive company-wide success.
• Champion same-day shipping initiatives, ensuring team engagement and performance.
• Prepare, analyze, and present monthly operations dashboards.
• Implement and oversee inventory cycle counts; identify and recommend process improvements.
• Maintain a safe, functional warehouse and ensure the Windsor facility is in good condition inside and out, addressing any issues promptly.
• Manage vendor relationships, including selection, contract negotiation, and performance monitoring for facility and grounds maintenance.
• Demonstrate a hands-on leadership style, working alongside warehouse staff as needed to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain consistent, reliable attendance in accordance with company business hours and policies.

Skills and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 8+ years of experience in distribution or warehouse operations
• Proven success in team leadership and management
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with warehouse, distribution, and transportation management systems required
• Familiarity with Tecsys platform is a plus
• Experience with RF gun technology is an asset
• Certified to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
