Job Description

Leading the future in luxury electric and mobility

At Lucid, we set out to introduce the most captivating, luxury electric vehicles that elevate the human experience and transcend the perceived limitations of space, performance, and intelligence. Vehicles that are intuitive, liberating, and designed for the future of mobility.

We plan to lead in this new era of luxury electric by returning to the fundamentals of great design – where every decision we make is in service of the individual and environment. Because when you are no longer bound by convention, you are free to define your own experience.

Come work alongside some of the most accomplished minds in the industry. Beyond providing competitive salaries, we’re providing a community for innovators who want to make an immediate and significant impact. If you are driven to create a better, more sustainable future, then this is the right place for you.

We are currently seeking a UI/UX Designer for lucidmotors.com. As a member of our team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the design of our digital platforms, shaping the online experience for our customers and stakeholders. Your work will include activities like creating new pages, updating existing ones, maintaining our Design System and actively participating in and supporting new initiatives. These efforts support a scalable, localized web presence, representing a trusted resource for prospects, customers, owners, and investors.

Our ideal candidate has a growth mindset, willingness to learn, and can thrive in a fast-paced environment, while also being receptive to feedback and continuously striving for improvement.

Please note, this role is 100% onsite in Newark, CA.

You Will

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product owners, copywriters, developers, and marketing specialists to conceptualize and design user-centric web experiences.
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to illustrate early concepts and effectively communicate design.
  • Design intuitive and engaging user interfaces that align with brand guidelines and design principles.
  • Assist in the maintenance and optimization of existing web assets, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.
  • Be comfortable with Agile methodologies.
  • Support senior designers in various design tasks and projects as needed.
  • Be comfortable working with developers to bring designs to life.
  • Use data, benchmarks, and best practices as a guide for making design decisions.
  • Pursue continuous innovation and exploration of new ideas to improve and evolve our digital platforms.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and design standards to continuously enhance our digital products.

You Bring

  • 5+ years of professional experience in UX/UI Design (Agency, Tech Company, or Startup).
  • Strong portfolio showcasing proficiency in UX/UI design principles, methodologies, and solutions.
  • Outstanding User-Centered Design Skills with a great sense of aesthetics.
  • Familiarity with the end-to-end design process, including research, personas, concept creation, customer journeys, user flows, mockups, prototypes, user testing, and visual design deliverables.
  • Experience in creating, maintaining, and expanding Visual Design Systems.
  • Prototyping and animating early concepts.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and extreme attention to detail
  • Enthusiasm for an iterative design process, inspired by constant feedback.
  • Passion for user-centered design and eagerness to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma.
  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or related field.

Advantageous

  • HTML and CSS understanding.
  • Atomic Design Principles to create scalable Design Systems.
  • Interest (and experience) in exploring emerging AI technologies and their potential applications in UX/UI design.
  • Experience with A/B testing and data-driven design decisions.
