Job Description

As a Tax Manager, you will leverage your technical expertise and collaborative mindset to provide excellent client service. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing a broad range of tax services while working closely with both new and existing clients.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Work with clients to provide tax planning, advisory services, and oversight for a comprehensive range of tax services, including preparing various tax forms for all types of entities.
2. Manage and lead a tax production team focused on individual, entity, fiduciary, and gift/estate taxation, including the planning and execution of tax engagements.
3. Provide mentorship and leadership to staff and supervisor-level team members, offering career development and training opportunities.

Basic Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related business field; CPA, J.D., LL.M. in taxation, or a Master’s in Taxation preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in public accounting, specifically in tax services, with a focus on reviewing and finalizing tax returns for various entity types.
3. Expertise in one or more of the following areas: entity, individual, and fiduciary taxation, with a solid understanding of complex investments and their tax implications.
4. Experience with multi-state taxation.
5. Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and the ability to work in a collaborative environment while managing multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Extensive experience in reviewing personal and business tax returns.
2. Proven track record in managing and training tax preparation teams.
3. Experience in gift and estate taxation.
4. Background in managing high-volume tax production for a mid-sized firm.

Compensation and Benefits:

1. Competitive salary range: $125,000 - $200,000 per year.
