Senior Systems DevOps Engineer

Location: El Monte, CA (Hybrid)

About the Role

Our client is seeking a Senior Systems DevOps Engineer with expertise in Hybrid Cloud/On-Prem environments and a strong ability to design and develop cross-technology solutions. This role is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to drive automation, optimize infrastructure, and collaborate with technical teams to support innovative deployments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated, dynamic environments to support delivery teams.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, and Azure DevOps.
• Build and configure components in Azure and AWS cloud platforms.
• Automate infrastructure deployment and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform and ARM templates.
• Deploy, configure, and support cloud IaaS and PaaS infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve service-related issues in cloud and on-prem environments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Development, Application Support, and Systems teams.
• Manage assigned projects and provide technical assistance and support.

Qualifications & Experience

• 3-5 years of experience administering and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters (EKS, AKS, Tanzu).
• 3-5 years of experience working in DevOps and Cloud Engineering (Azure, AWS).
• Hands-on experience with Git repositories (GitHub, Azure DevOps) and scripting (PowerShell, Bash, Python, Groovy).
• Strong knowledge of networking concepts, cloud networking architecture, and security best practices.
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible.
• Understanding of software development processes and basic knowledge of Java, .Net, or Node.js.
• Experience working in fast-paced environments with the ability to manage priorities effectively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Compensation

• Base Salary Range: $110,000 - $160,000 per year (based on experience, skills, and location).
