As a Search Engine Marketing Specialist at Clix, you’ll be responsible for leading every stage of high-performance Google Ads and Bing Ads campaigns—from strategy development and keyword research to ad creation, A/B testing, and performance analysis. Your SEM expertise will help clients compete and succeed in today’s digital landscape.

Bonus Qualifications: Demonstrated success in managing or implementing SEO and paid social advertising campaigns with measurable outcomes. These skills, while not required for this SEM role, will enhance your ability to contribute to our clients’ integrated digital strategies.

Core Job Responsibilities:

  1. Design, execute, and manage SEM campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads and Bing Ads, aligning with clients' business objectives.
  2. Perform keyword research, A/B testing, and trend analysis to optimize campaigns and enhance performance.
  3. Monitor budget pacing, search impression share, conversions, and other critical KPIs, adjusting as necessary to meet campaign targets.
  4. Utilize advertising analytics to gather insights and conduct detailed performance analysis.
  5. Provide regular campaign performance reports to stakeholders, offering actionable insights to enhance client strategies.
  6. Contribute to data-driven decision-making by researching new SEM technologies, trends, and techniques.
  7. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including account management, SEO, social, and creative teams to support cohesive strategies.
  8. Educate clients and team members on SEM best practices, trends, and campaign performance. Communicate new opportunities, including increasing spending recommendations based on performance.
  9. Stay up-to-date on SEM industry advancements, platform updates, and emerging strategies.
  10. Complete monthly professional development focused on search engine marketing, certifications, and adapting to platform updates.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field.
  2. 2-4 years in SEM, digital marketing, or a related role.
  3. Required: Google Ads (Search, Display, Video, Shopping Ads, Measurement)
  4. Preferred: Microsoft Advertising Certified Professional
  5. Preferred: Google Analytics Individual Qualification (GAIQ)

Key Skills and Competencies:

  1. Expertise in SEM tools and analytics platforms, with strong skills in Google Ads, Bing Ads, and keyword research.
  2. Proficient in data analysis and A/B testing, leveraging insights for campaign optimization.
  3. Strong analytical skills for trend analysis and strategy refinement.
  4. Ability to align SEM strategies with broader business and marketing objectives.
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in reporting campaign performance.
  6. Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  7. Stays informed on changes within SEM platforms and proactively adjusts campaigns to align with best practices.
