Job Title: Project Engineer

Location:  Houston TX

Job Type:  Full-Time

Salary:  $75,000 - $80,000

Job Summary:

The Project Engineer will play a critical role in the planning, coordination, and execution of projects. This position involves working closely with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to project management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and execution of projects from inception to completion.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
  • Coordinate with project managers, clients, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Review and interpret project plans, specifications, and contracts to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and addressing any issues or risks.
  • Prepare and present project status reports, proposals, and technical documentation.
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to ensure adherence to project plans and quality standards.
  • Support the procurement process by evaluating and selecting suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and correspondence.
  • Implement and enforce safety and quality control measures on project sites.
  • Assist in the resolution of technical and operational issues as they arise.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and regulatory requirements.

  • Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).
  • 3 years of experience in project engineering or a similar role.
  • Strong technical knowledge and expertise in construction.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is a plus.
