Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Part-Time Restaurant Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting or bookkeeping, preferably within the restaurant industry. This position offers flexibility, allowing you to work onsite in Riverhead or remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
Process invoices, receipts, and payroll in a timely manner.
Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions.
Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
Monitor and manage inventory costs and expenses.
Assist with budgeting and forecasting as needed.
Collaborate with management to ensure compliance with financial regulations and tax requirements.
Handle any additional bookkeeping tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a bookkeeper, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Schedule:
Part-time hours, flexible schedule.
Potential for onsite work in Riverhead or remote work arrangement.
