Job Description

Overview:

Mad City Windows and Baths is hiring an HR Assistant Manager! The HR Assistant Manager administers the activities relating to the company payroll and benefits as well as assisting in areas of HR related to employee relations, onboarding, and unemployment.

What You Will Do:

  • Stays current on all company personnel policies, benefits and procedures and communicates these effectively across all teams
  • Examines employee filesto answer inquiries and provide information for personnel actions
  • Assists the HR Manager, HR Assistant Director & HR Director with employee issues
  • Provides information to authorized persons and organizations, such as credit bureaus and finance companies, in compliance with MadCity confidentiality practices and HIPAA regulations
  • Develops and/or maintains descriptions for all new jobs and trainings
  • Assists and supports HR team members with daily HR tasks, including benefits, onboarding, conflict resolution, workers compensation, and leaves
  • Act as an HR consultant to leadership on HR issues, best practices and company policies
  • Assist with Unemployment claims, wage garnishments, and other court ordered wage mandates
  • Maintains the confidentiality of the HR department regarding employee disclosures and issues
  • Understand all local, state, and federal law that applies to their designated regions

What You Need:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 3+ years of Human Resource experience
  • Supervisory experience is a plus
  • Must be able to work discreetly and maintain confidentiality
  • Strong understanding of Human Resources processes and terminology, payroll and benefit processes and procedures, including eligibility and enrollment rules and benefit procedures.
  • Demonstrates exceptional analytical skills and ability to create useful and actionable reports from data.
  • Possess strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Possess strong organization skills and ability to complete multiple tasks and high volume of work on deadline
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to edit and proofread
  • Possess a creative outlook with a problem-solving attitude
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and follow-through skills
  • Has shown ability to respond quickly and accurately to requests for data, ability to provide excellent customer service a must
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
