Job Description

We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Distillery Tour Guide to lead visitors through our distillery facility and provide them with an engaging and informative experience. As a Distillery Tour Guide, you will be responsible for showcasing our distillery's history, production process, and products to visitors. You will work to ensure that each guest has a positive and memorable experience while highlighting the unique qualities of our spirits.

Responsibilities

• Welcome visitors and introduce guests to the distillery and tasting room
• Lead tours of the distillery and provide guests with an engaging and informative experience
• Explain the history and production process of the spirits
• Answer questions and provide additional information about the spirits, the distillery history and the production process
• Conduct tastings of the spirits in a responsible and informative manner
• Ensure the safety of all guests during tours
• Keep the tour area clean and presentable
• Assist with events and private tours when needed
• Must have the ability to accurately handle cash and credit transaction on a Point of Sales system.

Requirements

• Knowledge of, or strong desire to learn, spirits production and aging methods and cocktails.
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working in the hospitality or beverage industry a plus
• Knowledge of spirits, their production, and tasting techniques
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to lead groups and engage with visitors of all ages and backgrounds
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to obtain and maintain any licensing or active work cards required, at present or in the future, for this position at all times
• Applicants must be 21 years of age or over
